MusicConnex to stage soul showcase

Organisers of MusicConnex, the music business and DIY conference that launched in London earlier this year, will next month stage a new music showcase with a soul theme at Under The Bridge, a recently opened new music venue underneath Chelsea FC’s Stamford Bridge stadium.
On the bill at the event, which takes place on 26 Aug, will be five new British female soul singers, including Monique Thomas, Elisha La’Verne, Hannah Francis, Izzi Dunn and Charlene.
MusicConnex boss Jon Mansfield told CMU: “It’s the next step in what we do and another outlet for artists to perform, showcase, connect and utilise our vast professional network. We have handpicked these acts for our first showcase and much like our inaugural conference we want everyone who attends to not only enjoy the event but take something positive and beneficial from the experience whether it be empowerment, fresh ideas or an extension of their network via artiste-fan interaction”.
