Next Guitar Hero announced
By CMU Editorial | Published on Monday 7 June 2010
Talking of music gaming, Activision last week unveiled the next edition of its ‘Guitar Hero’ franchise, to be called ‘Warriors Of Rock’. Of course, while the bubble may not have burst on the pretend-to-play market, it’s certainly not growing any more; in fact the bubble is in decline, and all players in the market are much less prolific with their releases as a result. Though ‘Guitar Hero’ is still the biggy, and any new edition of it will still be sought after.
Aside from the various bands involved this time round, publishers have revealed that there will be a ‘quest mode’ which will add some sort of story element to the proceedings, complete with narration from Kiss’ Gene Simmons. There’ll also be another new plastic guitar controller to collect, should you so wish. Artist wise songs from AFI, Avenged Sevenfold, Black Sabbath, Buzzcocks, The Cure, Def Leppard, Foo Fighters, Muse, My Chemical Romance, Queen and Slayer will all appear.
