Warner Chappell in the US has hired Rich Christina as SVP A&R. “Rich and I have known each other for nearly 30 years, and I’m THRILLED to reunite with him in his new post at WCM”, says the publisher’s CEO Guy Moot. “I’m beyond excited”, adds a giddy Christina.

Weezer have released the video for their version of ‘Lost In The Woods’ from Disney film ‘Frozen 2’. It features Kristen Bell, who voices the character of Anna.

Niall Horan has released new single ‘Put A Little Love On Me’. I think that title is supposed to be sexy.

Liam Payne has released the video for his collaboration with Cheat Codes, ‘Live Forever’. Not an Oasis cover.

Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien has released a new solo track, ‘Brasil’, under the name EOB. “HP Lovecraft, Kubrick and Junji Ito have created some of my favourite sci-fi narratives”, he says of the song’s inspiration. “But I’ve always wanted to reinterpret their horrific premises into a more poetic and optimistic notion”.

Yola has released a cover of Elton John’s ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’, which John himself premiered through his social media channels.

Mayer Hawthorne has released new single ‘Healing’, his fourth of 2019, with more new music coming in the new year.

Zebra Katz has released new single ‘Lousy’. It’s quite good, actually.

Still celebrating the 50th anniversary of their debut album, ‘With Love And Squalor’, We Are Scientists have released a recording of their performance from the Woodstock festival. “Back in 1969, as we were writing and arranging the songs that ended up on our 2005 debut, ‘With Love And Squalor’, we were consorting with a rough crowd: Greenwich Village troubadours, singer-songwriters, Bob Dylan – a lot of pretty bad influences”, they say. “This set of early, acoustic versions of the songs from ‘With Love And Squalor’ has now come back to haunt us. It is what it is. Forgive us”.
