Questlove publishing “punch drunk memoir”
By Aly Barchi | Published on Friday 1 March 2013
The Roots’ Questlove – real name Ahmir Khalib Thompson – has written (well, New Yorker editor Ben Greenman has, really) a “punch drunk memoir” he’ll release in June.
Bearing the title ‘Mo Meta Blues: The World According To Questlove’, it’ll feature the Roots musician’s personal POVs (and he has many) on “the state of hip hop, the state of music criticism, the state of statements”, “pivotal moments in black music and pop culture” and “the lates, the greats, the fakes and the true originals of the music world”.
