SFX buys React Presents

If you’re the sort of person who likes to read about eeeeeeeeee-deeeeeeee-em pusher SFX buying up yet more independent festival promoters, then read on. Because SFX has bought up yet another independent festival promoter. This time it’s Chicago-based live event maker React Presents, behind, amongst other things, the Spring Awakening and Summer Set festivals.
Confirming the deal, React co-founder Jeff Callahan said: “After years of being independent festival and concert promoters in the Midwest, we are very exited to join the SFX family. We feel this strategic partnership with SFX Entertainment and its team of like-minded pioneers will make for a massive global company”.
While SFX’s top man Robert FX Sillerman said: “React Presents enhances the nationwide network of promoters for SFX and brings two new and highly successful festivals into our US repertoire. React Presents is a dominant player in the Midwest, so it was strategically important for us to join forces. React’s ability to put together and promote so many quality productions that excite so many fans will greatly add to our success and growth”.
