Shazam adds lyrics
By CMU Editorial | Published on Thursday 16 June 2011
Music identifying flim flam Shazam has added a new bit of functionality that allows users to see the lyrics to songs they have identified via the mobile-based digital service.
The new lyrics option, called LyricPlay, is available to premium customers, and utilises technology Shazam acquired when it bought a company called Tunezee earlier this year.
Shazam says it has expanded and honed Tunezee’s lyrics catalogue and service before integrating it with its own platform.
