Sigur Rós preview new LP, Kveikur
By Aly Barchi | Published on Monday 25 March 2013
Unlike the other artists – naming no names (Little Mix, The National, Deerhunter) – in today’s Release News slot, Icelandic band Sigur Rós have provided us with an actual track to go with details of their new album release. Which is nice if, as I do, you like to listen as you read.
Also, to mark the release of their self-made new long player ‘Kveikur’, which, when XL releases it on 17 Jun, will pass 2012’s ‘Valtari’ as the band’s seventh LP to date, Jónsi and co have announced they will play several live dates in November. Which, again, is a nice thing to do.
If you care to, you can gaze at said dates, and the visuals for new ‘Kveikur’ track ‘Brennisteinn’, right away:
16 Nov: Dublin, O2 Arena
19 Nov: Nottingham Arena
20 Nov: Brighton Centre
21 Nov: London, Wembley Arena
