Swedish hip hop artist pleads not guilty to murder

Swedish hip hop artist David Moses Jassy appeared in court in Los Angeles on Wednesday charged with the murder of musician John Osnes.

It’s alleged that the killing came about as the result of what’s been described as a road rage incident; the rapper’s rented SUV drove into a pedestrian crossing as Osnes was using it, it’s said, prompting the 55 year old musician to slap the front of the car.

This apparently led to an altercation in which Jassy left his vehicle, punched Osnes and kicked him in the head, then ran over him as he drove away.

Jassy is still in custody over the incident, which took place on 23 Nov, with his bail set at $1m. His attorney Donald Etra said that he “recognises the seriousness of the offence”.
