Two Door Cinema Club announce UK tour, launch new album into space
By Andy Malt | Published on Monday 29 April 2019
Two Door Cinema Club have announced UK tour dates for October, which will follow a number of festival shows over the summer.
Last week the band also launched their new album, ‘False Alarm’. Literally launched it. Like, they shot it into space. Their new single is called ‘Satellite’, so it makes sense. Does it? No, probably not. But if you can do something, you might as well.
“We’re trying to create a new world for this record to exist in, and we want that to go everywhere from the music videos, to the artwork to the live show”, says frontman Alex Trimble, not actually referring to why they fired the record into space, but it’s more amusing if you pretend he is.
“We’re putting together the live show right now”, he adds. “It’s so exciting because there are no limits anymore. We’re not just Two Door Cinema Club as defined by what we’ve done, we’re Two Door Cinema Club doing whatever we want to do”.
The album will be available on Earth from 14 Jun. Here are the tour dates:
3 Oct: Cardiff, Motorpoint Arena
4 Oct: Glasgow, Academy
8 Oct: Manchester, Victoria Warehouse
10 Oct: Hull, Bonus Arena
11 Oct: London, O2 Arena
13 Oct: Plymouth, Pavilions
