Videos shortlisted for new Twitter voted BRIT Award are being revealed today
By Chris Cooke | Published on Monday 10 February 2014
The nominations will be revealed today for the all new best music video BRIT Award, which is now being dubbed the Social Vote Award, because punters worldwide will be able to vote via Twitter.
As you read this, some of the five shortlisted videos will likely have already been announced. It’s not entirely clear how long it’s going to take to reveal the shortlist, but the first nominated video was expected to be confirmed at 10.30am.
Come BRITs night, on 19 Feb, fans of the nominated artists will be able to cast their votes using tbc hashtags on the Twitter platform. Only one vote per Twitter account will be allowed, but 1D fans have nine days to set up 3000 Twitter accounts each, so that’s all fine.
Shortlisted vids will be revealed here.
