Zayn Malik is collaborating with Versace to design a range for the fashion brand’s contemporary line, Versus. A range of outfits for men and women plucked from the mind of the former One Directioner will be debuted in May next year.
“Zayn is one of the most exciting personalities on the world stage right now”, says Donatella Versace in a statement. “When we first met, he told me how much he loves fashion. I thought it would be fantastic to collaborate on a new Versus collection together”.
Speaking to The New York Times, she added: “Many celebrities do clothing lines that just aren’t relevant. This one? It will be. He’s smart to do it with me”.
Malik, who launched his own streetwear line earlier this year, will also star in a series of ad campaigns for Versace, the first of which will air in February.
